    Linden Singers Torfaen

    Ladies Choir

  • About Us

    General Information

We are a successful ladies choir located in Pontypool, attracting members from across the region. Formed in 2004, we have developed and evolved to produce a unique sound, assisted by our musical team. We regularly perform at charity events, pensioner's clubs and residential homes.

All the ladies share a great joy in singing, and rehearsals are always jam-packed with end-to-end music. We have a varied repertoire consisting of popular ballads, folk songs, easy listening classics, and songs from musical theatre.

  • Our Team

    The Musical Team

Musical Director - Karen Middle B.Ed, NPQH

Karen, originally from Birmingham, showed a flair for music from age five playing piano, guitar, flute, and clarinet. She is a primary school teacher with many years of experience, and has directed school, church, and community choirs. Her enthusiasm is contagious, she brings a freshness and new-life to the choir every week.

    Pianist - Lisa Jay

Lisa has been playing the piano since she was 6 years old and comes from a musical family. She has been an accompanist for both male and female choirs. A busy lady that works for the NHS as an Information Standards Officer and also fits in a part-time role as a Music Teacher. Lisa has brought her skill and musical ability to the choir at a time when it was really needed. She is accomplished and enthusiastic and a great addition to the team.

    Drums - Jacqui Forest-Jones

Jacqui is a retired Food Technology teacher, who plays with the Crazy Kats Brass Ensemble and has ties to Abergavenny Brass Band. She is a brilliant and intuitive drummer that enhances the accompaniment. The added element of the drums has enriched the sound of the choir.
